So you are a recently divorced man and you find yourself wondering if online dating would be a good thing for you to do in order to meet women.
Online dating is a great tool for recently divorced men to meet women as long as you follow a few simple guidelines.
1. Marking “Divorced” on the marital status should be the only reference to you being divorced.
Women don t need to know that you are recently divorced or how long you have been divorced for that matter. Her knowing you are divorced is already too much but leaving it blank causes some women to assume the same thing or even worse that you are still married.
Your profile isn t for your emotional scars and putting how you feel about your divorce in your profile only attracts women who are looking to take advantage of men.
2. Your goal is to meet these women not chat with them online
It is too easy to find yourself involved in an online relationship and becoming emotionally attached to a woman you are never going to meet.
Fight the urge to participate in writing long emails to the pictures you see on the screen. Instead send out an initial email indicating what you find interesting about her and if she responds make 1 or 2 efforts to get her offline info (phone number or a meeting).
If she isn t willing to do that you have to be willing to move on and find another woman who is willing to meet you offline.
3. There is no such thing as an online dating site just for people who are divorced or widowed
There are sites that will claim they are such yet the truth is almost all of the women you will find or who are on these types of site are predators and women who are such an emotional wreck themselves that if they are willing to meet you then you would be better off if you didn t.
When it comes to online dating for divorced men, as long as it is only an option and not the only option it is a good option to have.
If you follow the guidelines, otherwise you might find yourself in a place that you do not want to be.
